The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is only a quarter of the way through and already we have seen some champions making all the latest poker by walking away from the tables far richer than when they sat down. Team PokerStars Pro Danzer won Event #12-H, a $2,100 NL 2-7 Draw tournament to claim the second SCOOP victory of his career. Season 9 of EPT Monte Carlo came to an end in spectacular style this week, with Max Alternate winning the Grand Final Super High Roller event for 1,746,400. Alternate amazingly took home his first ever live tournament cash as he prefers to play poker on line rather than attend physical games. He took apart the final table of seven players and emerged as the last major winner of the 10-day festival. He beat Jason Mercies, who featured in last weeks latest poker news, into second place with 1,115,700 in prize money and Sorrel Mizi into third with 679,100.
